Mexican record holder Pablo Solares ran 3:56.86 in the mile to earn his world indoor standard on Thursday at The Armory. Solares is a former standout at Rice University. His wedding ceremony with U.S. Olympian Shannon Rowbury is planned for April. Solares is also an artist and his oil paintings can be viewed at pablosolares.com
